Lithuanian national air company flyLAL is confident in reasonable defence of its interests in courts, while Latvian company airBaltic is trying to mislead Lithuanian society. Vilnius County Court satisfied the request of Lithuanian air carrier flyLAL to arrest the assets of the branch in Lithuania of Latvian air company airBaltic and Riga airport for the value of LTL 199.83 million because of unfair competition in Riga airport. flyLAL aircraft fleet expanded by the second Boeing 757-200

 

flyLAL, the brand of the Lithuanian airline company will soon be attached on the second Boeing 757-200 airliner. The aircraft already has been delivered to Vilnius, and currently is prepared for operation. The first Boeing 757-200 of the national airline began its flights in June of this year. More

flyLAL – Lithuanian Airlines offers a new online service – now there is a possibility on the portal www.flylal.com to book more than 50 000 hotels in different countries of the whole world. The service will be provided in cooperation with Europe’s leading hotel booking system "booking".  More

 

 

International appreciation: flyLAL meets the highest safety standards

 

The Lithuanian national air company flyLAL has been awarded a certificate which states that company’s activity meets the International Air Transport Association (IATA) Operational Safety Audit (IOSA) standards. According to conclusions of independent auditors, flyLAL has earned a place on the IOSA registry. More

 

In September, flyLAL carried 80% more passengers

 

National air company flyLAL carried the total number of 84 718 passengers in this September, i.e. about 80% more than during the same period last year. In the course of nine months of this year, flyLAL carried 659 527 passengers, i.e. 71% more than during the respective period last year. From Vilnius, flyLAL carried 72 381 passengers in this September, i.e. about 67% more than during the same period last year. More

 

 

Installation of the only one in Lithuania – pilot training simulator Boeing 737 has launched

 

Boeing 737 full flight simulator was delivered to flyLAL Training company and its installation works started. Upon its acquisition, the company will start practical pilots' training this year in Vilnius, which was provided only in foreign countries until now.  “Having put Boeing 737 flight simulator into operation, we shall be the only company in Lithuania with all necessary technical facilities for comprehensive qualification training of aircraft pilots: for both theoretical and practical training”, stated CEO of flyLAL Training, Arūnas Kmieliauskas.
