Italians Choose the Lithuanian flyLAL charters 2010.01.21

The Lithuanian charter company flyLAL charters continues cooperation with the Italian air charter broker Aeroservizi and will perform charter flights from Italy in summer 2010.

"Our Italian customers are very pleased with the high quality of our services and extended the contract for another season. For us it is a very significant evaluation because in the Italian market, which company entered in 2009, we are competing with the largest European carriers", says Vytautas Kaikaris, CEO of flyLAL charters.

According to him, charter flights from Milan to the holiday destinations in Italy and Greece will be carried out by Boeing 737-300 with Lithuanian crew on board.

This year flyLAL charters also plans to enter Poland`s charter market. The company flyLAL charters PL Sp. z.o.o. was registered in December 2009 and started process of certifying for Air Operator`s Certificate (AOC), which is expected to be received by the end of April.

According to Mr. Kaikaris, despite the economic downturn, the last year was successful for flyLAL charters. In 2009 company carried 0.5 million passengers from Lithuania, Estonia and Italy, and reach LTL 160 million (USD 70 million) revenue.

The company`s aircraft fleet consist of one Boeing 757-200 and three Boeing 737-300. This year company plans to add two more Boeing type aircraft to its fleet.

In winter season flyLAL charters is performing charter flights from Lithuania and Estonia to the most popular resorts of Egypt, Thailand, the Canary Islands as well as Italian ski resorts.
