In June, 333 632 passengers flew from Vilnius by aircraft of the Lithuanian charter company flyLAL charters. After reaching such index flyLAL charters became the leading airline according to the number of passengers carried in June from Vilnius, leaving behind even the airlines carrying out scheduled flights.

From Vilnius flyLAL charters flights are carried out by two aircraft to Turkey, Crete, Egypt, Spain, Greece, Tunisia, Bulgaria and Croatia. Another flyLAL charters aircraft carries passengers from Estonia and one more from Italy.

"In July and August we expect even larger passenger flow, as these are the major vacation months. However, the total number of travellers using charter flights is about 25 percent lower than last year,” says the flyLAL charters Director General Vytautas Kaikaris.

According to him, as during the last year, this year’s most popular resorts are Turkish and Greek island resorts. Nearly half of all passengers choose to spend their vacations in Turkey.
