flyLAL Technics expects its profit for 2009 to be in excess of USD 1.5 million 2009.03.11

Aircraft technical maintenance, repair management, and component trade company proceeds with its successful activities and plans to expand its business in 2009. flyLAL Technics announced that it expects its profit for 2009 to be in excess of USD 1.5 million.

“Even in the down cycle in the aviation industry we are in a strong position to capture the opportunities for further expansion of our operations. Based on strong performance in 2008, our growth plans will focus on 3 major priorities: improving efficiencies of current hangar operations, geographical expansion, and launching new business lines. On the latter, we see exponential opportunities to service our customers as a one-stop-shop provider for a broad range of services: Base Maintenance, Line Maintenance, Engineering, Component Trade, Engine Repair Management, Technical Training, etc.”, said CEO of flyLAL Technics Andrej Belotelov.

At present, flyLAL Technics provides services under long-term agreements to the following airlines: Brussels Airlines, Transaero Airlines, Aeroflot-Don, KD avia, Atlant-Soyuz, Air Company ROSSIYA, Aerosvit Airlines and others. Trusted relationships are also established between flyLAL Technics and the World\`s major aircraft leasing companies, as well as major global suppliers in the industry.

These relationships result in more than 40 aircraft serviced at flyLAL Technics each year. To date, more than one million man-hours of maintenance work have been delivered.

Mr. Andrej Belotelov stressed that one of the key advantages of flyLAL Technics is its ability to retain and grow its qualified staff - engineers and technical specialists. 265 of them are employed by the company today. flyLAL Technics holds EASA PART 145, EASA PART 147, EASA PART M and BERMUDA DCA approvals which ensure top quality of services provided to its customers.

CEO of flyLAL Technics announced today that in 2008 total Revenue of the company increased by 45% (compared to 2007) and amounted to USD 26 million.
