Aircraft technical maintenance and repair company flyLAL Technics, AB signed an agreement with the biggest Belgian air company Brussels Airlines on periodical technical maintenance of its aircraft Boeing 737 to be carried out in Vilnius. This agreement expanded the circle of flyLAL Technics clients and confirmed wide recognition of the Lithuanian company.
“Optimum ratio between price and quality makes services offered by flyLAL Technics attractive for both Eastern and Western companies”, stated CEO of flyLAL Technics Andrej Belotelov. “The selection of our company by the Brussels Airlines was determined by lower prices if compared with competitors, while performance in Lithuania is efficient and quality. Services provided by the experienced specialists of the company satisfy all EU standards”.
The first aircraft of Brussels Airlines – Boeing 737 has already arrived for periodic technical maintenance, one more is expected this year, while in the very beginning of year 2009 – two more Boeing 737 will be serviced. The whole Boeing 737 aircraft fleet of the Brussels Airlines is planned to be service in Lithuania, in the future.
Servicing of four aircraft of Brussels Airlines will require about 10 000 hours of work of flyLAL Technics specialists.
“flyLAL Technics has already gained the name of a trustworthy aircraft technical maintenance centre and is further expanding its circle of clients”, said Mr. Belotov. “We are carrying out negotiations with Russian air company Trans Aero on long-term technical maintenance of all aircraft Boeing 737 of this company, with Belarus national air carrier Belavia and other air companies”.
According to Andrej Belotelov, growth of the number of potential clients of flyLAL Technics is determined also by favourable geographical position of Lithuania: Routes of flights performed by flyLAL – Lithuanian Airlines ensure fast delivery of spare parts to Vilnius at minimum cost, when aircraft do not need to fly far for their maintenance, clients` costs are saved as well. This gives competitive advantage to flyLAL Technics.
