During its first year flyLAL charters confidently settled in the second place of the VA`s common market of carried passengers. During the summer period it even drew ahead of the scheduled airlines.
At the moment the company`s fleet consists of four aircraft: one Boeing 757-200 and three Boeing 737-300. FlyLAL charters has expanded its activity not only in Lithuanian, but also in Estonian and Italian markets.
In Tallinn Airport flyLAL charters became the non-scheduled flight market leader. In September this year it owned almost 60% of the market. According to the overall number of passengers carried, flyLAL charters is the fourth at the Tallinn Airport.
Commenting upon the causes of the company`s successful development, Vytautas Kaikaris CEO of flyLAL charters identified a number of significant factors.
"When hardships started, an adequate aircraft fleet was scheduled for charter flights. Furthermore, we arranged efficient technical aircraft maintenance. And, of course, our strategic partnership with two largest tour operators was of particular significance as well", stated the CEO of flyLAL charters.
In Baltic region flyLAL charters cooperates with the largest tour operators Novaturas and Tez Tour.
According to V. Kaikaris, extension of the strategic partnership agreement with the tour operator partners to the winter flight season will enable to carry out tourists from Vilnius and Tallinn Airports to the most popular Egypt, Thailand, the Canary Islands and the Italian ski resort destinations.
Currently flyLAL charters carries out flights to Egypt, Turkey, Spain, Italy, Greece, Thailand, Bulgaria, and Tunisia.
