The aviation personnel training center Baltic Aviation Academy (BAA) starts ab-initio pilot training in accordance with a full training programs - from private pilot license (PPL) and instrument rating (IR) courses to commercial pilot license (CPL), multi engine pilot license (MEP) and airline transport pilot license (ATPL) courses.

This right was granted by the Flight Training Organization (FTO) license issued by the Civil Aviation Administration of the Republic of Lithuania. BAA also holds Type Rating Training Organization (TRTO) license.

"The FTO license helped to extend the Baltic Aviation Academy`s possibilities and we are starting to recruit the first future pilots` groups. One of our major advantages is opportunity for our students who have successfully completed initial training to continue their studies and receive the Type Rating license without leaving BAA", says Lina Rutkauskiene, CEO of the Baltic Aviation Academy.

The ab-initio pilot training at BAA will take approximately three years. After successfully accomplishing theoretical and practical training, the course participants will be ready to start career as the airline second pilots.

According to L. Rutkauskiene, from now Baltic Aviation Academy also welcomes everyone who wants to get their first pilot license. BAA will teach them to fly safely and will provide with the private pilot licenses (PPL). Furthermore, those who already have a license will be given the opportunity to learn flying the single pilot multi engine class airplanes or other types of single engine class airplanes.

The pilot training sessions will be held in Vilnius, Lithuania. Students will be taught by qualified BAA instructors. Practical training will be carried out at S. Darius & S. Girenas airfield in Kaunas, with which BAA has an agreement for students` initial flight training.

The first ab-initio classes start in January 2010.
